"Firetec is very easy to work with on all aspects of selling/listing equipment. No pressure on you at all! When we sold this Engine they guided us through the whole process. We sold two units within six weeks listing them with Firetec and we were very satisfied on the selling price. As we found out there is a great market for quality used fire equipment. After both units were sold we were still receiving calls from all over the US on their availability.
Highly recommend to any department."

How To Sell Your Fire truck:
|
2005 218 Fire Trucks sold in 2005This was accomplished through over 13,000 customer conversations and emails!Three of the fastest sales were: 1979 GMC Mini Pumper from Martinsville, NJ to Hemet, CA 12 days! 1985 Chevrolet Step Van from Catskill, NY to Phoenix, NY 10 days! 1970 American LaFrance Metropolitan from St. Hedgwig, TX to Addison, TX 23 days! More Interesting Stats from 2005:(In the category of Pumping Engines Only)The average amount of days to sell an engine from start to finish was 113 days. The 113 day span started the moment the engine was listed - through the negotiations, inspections and votes - until the seller received money and the buyer received the engine. Between day 1 and day 113 we targeted an average of 17 customers for that engine. That means, to sell the 86 pumpers we sold in 2005, we were in contact with 1465 different departments! It also means that 1379 of them didn't get the truck they needed - when we say we have waiting buyers, we mean it! In addition to the 86 pumpers we sold another 129 rescues, aerials, tankers, ambulances and antiques.
